The town of San Jose de Ocoa is now reachable by land. The small town nestled in the hills north of Bani had been cut off by major flooding of the Ocoa River and its tributaries. The Public Works Minister Victor Diaz Rua announced that the route to Ocoa through El Limon was being worked on since it had been totally destroyed by the flooding. Access to the town is possible through Juan Adrian, Bonao and through Rancho Arriba. According to the minister, relief convoys began arriving in the town yesterday morning. The minister also said that access to El Coroso, El Pinal, La Cienega, Sabana Larga and Ranchito had been re-established, and his crews were working on removing the landslides and debris left by the flooding caused by Tropical Storm Noel.
