Everyone familiar with the Britannia Pub probably knows by now that
Barb and Linden sold it to Liam and Paul. It has been closed for 2
months for major remodeling and will be reopening on Sunday Feb. 19th.
The Grand Reopening (which is sold out) will be 300 pesos per person
for an all you can eat buffet and happy hour drinks from 4:00 till
7:00. All proceeds from this event will go to Sosua Kids. Our
congradulations to Paul and Liam for all the work they've put into
remodeling and for their genorosity in supporting Sosua Kids.

I'll be taking pictures of the Grand Opening and post them during the
following week.

I stopped today for breakfast today. My novia and I both had the english breakfast, very good, includes fruit plate, unlimited coffee, juice, meal with eggs, ham, potatoes, toast and the best sausage. All for $175, will repeat.

My novia said," him make money, very nice here"!!

Someone once said that if you want to eat well in England, eat breakfast three times a day!

When I'm back in April, I'll have to check out if they do any other British type food - roast beef, toad-in-the-hole, curry, etc.

No offence but even some of the breakfast is a bit unusual. It pretty much was the only meal I had all day so when people at the b & b would turn a nose up to it they would pass it off to me. Yum, stewed tomatos and beans to start your day :D

That is classic but true breakfast is the best meal in England... though kippers are a bit much

Kippers and cream if you are really doing it properly! But I think that's more of a Scottish thing really. The classic English breakfast goes something like: sausage, egg, bacon, black pudding, bubble and squeek, mushrooms, tea and toast (and a fag!). Maybe chips, beans and tinned tomatoes if you are really going to town. Colloquilly this is known as "heart attack on a plate".

I grew up in Australia so eggs, sausages, tomato and onion gravy with baked beans
