I arrived in Puerto Plata on Jan21. After a couples of minutes, Marco from Rocky's showed up and took me to my room. I always stay at Rocky's (fourth time), I know the place is very basic but I just love it. The staff, the location, the restaurant, the people you meet there, the relaxing ambience, I just feel at home there. I'm always supposed to go see somewhere else but I can't.
I will not post a day by day report, but some facts. First of all, it was the best trip I've ever done. I've met a lot of great people ( Dominican, Canadian, American, Italian), some new and some old friends.
The talent this year was great. Lot of choice and the fact that my spanish is better than last year made a great difference. Absolutely no misunderstanding or problem with any girl. I've been with 10 or 12 differents girls, all new apart a couple from last years. I've found 3 really good one that I've been with several times. The thing I liked about theses 3 is their personnality: no time checking, no bullshit, much talking and much fun. Theses 3 girls are my friends now. And the good thing is that they perfectly understand that I don't want a novia or a esposa. I just want to spend time and have fun. So, we go tonight, maybe tomorow, maybe not.
The weather was great my first 2 weeks and so-so the last one. I've spent some time on the beach at friends places and Herman's Siempre Sol. Great afternoons, very relaxing.
Money: It was cheaper than last year due to the exchange rate and my spanish.
Something new for me: girls explaining to me in great details their experiences with monger and "novio". Theses stories are priceless... Sometime funny, other time very sad.
Antony Santos concert: That was great. I walked in the place a little late and there was no free place. I kept looking at a table with two free chairs. The Dominican woman there said to me: Sit down, not a problem. She was with her son, actually a pretty good looking woman about 35. As I was looking for a waiter, She said to me: Take a Cuba Libre, they had a servicio on the table. Great, thank you, the next one is on me. What great people, normal Dominican people with pride. The show was great, very profesional. Lot of crazy chicas in there... For pictures: http://news.insearchofchicas.org/forum/showthread.php?t=7144
Bad experience: my only bad experience is a girl who tried to pick-pocket me.

Food: My favorite are Rocky's, Bailey and on the beach: Siempre Sol and Coco Loco. I've had about 10 spaghetti at Rocky's...
Going out: a lot of good place. See: http://news.insearchofchicas.org/forum/showthread.php?t=7512
Each year, I'm supposed to go see Samana and/or Las Terrenas. It didn't happen this year again. I guess I just like it too much now in Sosua and around. Maybe next year.
And, I've also got a 2 days bonus, thanks to the snowstorm in North-east US.
Gracias a dios. I've sadly left on Feb14, after 25 great days and nights.
I want to say hi to all the good peoples I've met from the board, you know who you are. It was very nice meeting all of you.
That's it for now. (I'm drinking Brugal and smoking Nacional right now, so excuse any typo).
