I've been to dozens of cock fights and everytime the loser is soup.

I have seen them grab the loser and chop it's head off to spare some suffering but have NEVER seen both birds survive.

The Sosua Car wash is only open when there is a concert.

Never been to Azucar but I found this from Sosuanews.com :

The recently opened open-air discotheek known as Tipico Azucar (just past Monte Llano on the main road to Puerto Plata) is already a huge success. Its absolutely full every weekend.
This is a tragedy for the other disco 'La Brisa' and the various bars in Monte Llano, because they now get far fewer visitors.
But we have to agree: Tipico Azucar has a great atmosphere and there's always a good band performing every weekend. Usually its just a local tipico band, but once a month they contract a nationally famous group, such as the legendary Johnny Ventura.
They also have a matinee every Sunday afternoon. Visitors start arriving around 4pm, and somewhere around 5pm the band will start singing tipico numbers. If you want to be sure of getting a seat then you need to be there before 4pm: if you arrive any later then you probably won't be able to see the group. After 5pm it gets so full that you'll have to sit somewhere at the back or up on the second floor.

Disco beat
Last Sunday was another terrific and very busy afternoon. Its noticeable that foreigners are also getting to know about Tipico Azucar and thoroughly enjoy joining in with the real Dominican music. Last Sunday afternoon several guests from Hotel Atlantico and Hotel Voramar also visited the disco, which plays bachata, merengue, salsa and reggaeton music. This means that you don't have to listen to the standard disco numbers that they play in the Clasico disco in Sosúa. If you've flown for around nine hours to visit a sub-tropical paradise then you want to hear some local music! The standard disco stuff you can get at home!
So, if you want to enjoy the real Dominican atmosphere then go to Tipico Azucar next weekend.
Every taxi driver knows where to go, but be sure to agree the price beforehand, otherwise the driver might try to charge you anything up to double the going rate.

Looking at those pics, is the "new" Azucar carwash, the old Monte Llano Rancho Tipico that was on the west side of town on the main highway? Right near where there use to be a speedbump, well that's the best name for it wasn't a speed bump but rather a poorly paved over sewer line.

Good call. I think so. Give me two days to find out or ask our advance "scouts". Apos, any report?

It is in the picture section, you have to pay to be in there. If you did then it is a problem.
