If using a Birth Certificate instead of a Passport, does it need to be certified?

it needs to be official from the State... No copies.. .with the seal!

it must have a "raised seal" and you'll also need a valid Photo drivers License . . .
I think ! ! you commin from the US ? ? (get a passport . . .It make's it sooooooo easy ! !)

Eliminate potential drama. If you have time enough before the trip, get a passport!
No drama going to DR...
But when you come back into the USA then Home Land Security gives you the body cavity search.
