I just use my ATM card. The exchange rate on the street right now is between 31.70 and 32 pesos per dollar.
My two ATM withdrawals this week converted at 32.40 and 32.42

im hopin for 35 to 1 two weeks from tomorrow... Either way it better at least stay over 30...

I saw some old posts recently where i reported getting 42-1... it brings tears to my eyes!

The most i ever got was 52 or 53 to 1... i dont think that will ever happen again... I want Hippo back in office!

You have to be kidding about that lambon Hippo coming back. Most of the prices are adjusted when the dollar goes up anyway so there isn't much difference. Other than WE FEEL rich.

Do you have to worry about the condition of the US bills you bring to DR for exchange? do the have to be in near-perfect condition?

Do you have to worry about the condition of the US bills you bring to DR for exchange? do the have to be in near-perfect condition?i always insist on it when exchanging CAD for USD in Canada...i understand that some places can be picky but have not heard recently. unless it's a real hassle i'd recommend it to be safe.

Beas,

I hear you. I remember buying the ingredients for a great meal at Supermercado Nacional in February of 2004 including some bottles
of wine for great prices but by my next trip the prices had adjusted.
