This is one of the newer bars/discos in town. There are a bunch of neon signs around town pointing to the direction of where it's located. It's right next to the new Shark Bar. Officemgr and I decided to swing by there during Lou's grand opening. You immediately come up to the bar area on your left and if you walk straight back, you'll find the disco. The disco wasn't really jumping when we arrived so we sat down to the bar to chat with the waitresses. (Pic below) These were 3 out of about 8 that were working at the time.

After chatting with a few of them, we found out that they're available for takeout for 1000 salida! (Not a misprint. Un mil. WTF!) You can just imagine how much each girl probably wants. (We didn't ask). Needless to say, we passed. I can't see them keeping at price for too long. But then again, they gotta find some way to pay for all those neon signs around town.

Its a nice place and not too far from the action. I don't get why they are not getting the traffic. It is nice and airy. The Salida sucks.

your right it is...last july me and my wingman sat in for a couple sets as this band was performing there in the back. besides the bar girls everyone in the crowd seemed to have come with there family, husband, or boyfriend...they were all dominican, and me and my wing seemed to have been the only "stand outs" back there.

but still the place is cool...but if there was more going on in there we would stop in more often. but its always empty and at night there is not much of a crowd and i never saw anything in there worth not going to classicos to go and get.

I believe there was already a thread on Seacrets in the past, that would explain why it will never amount to anything.
It's just a matter of time before it closes it's doors.
There's a bunch of reasons why, but one of the big ones is that it's high off the street, and the people look like they are on exhibition.
Dominicans go for this, as they are very extroverted, while the gringos don't feel comfortable walking in/up there.
Bear in mind that tourists are continually being approached by vendors, and they get weary of it, and try to avoid getting "trapped" and that's the feeling you would get, once you get in there.
Combine that with music often played too loud, live music that is so non musical that it can barely be classified as music, plus a few other details, and you have a guaranteed closure around the corner.
It will not last the year.

You should tell that story to the guys here !I would rather not relive the nightmare of 1 1/2 years of that plinky plinky shit they blew us out with from the old cowgirl bar.
At least, they got the name right.
They were cowgirls.

Back to Seacrets, I can frequently hear the music from there when they turn it up, and it's clear that they can't make up their minds what format they want to go with, always trying something different, but invariably, their choice is poor, and Lord only knows, that if they find a tune they like, they will play it 20 times in a row.
I suspect the place is mismanaged, although I have never set foot in there, and am only guessing.

Little Chino is the new DJ. He used to MC at Classico. Before that, he did the tour guide/go for/hussle thingy...........

Man I haven't since hide or hair of Chino since my first trip. He does have good connections to a fresh crop of chicas if you are tired of the usual Sosua putas. Good to know he is still around

Chino is a clown. He tried to run his game on me years ago when he was doing the hustle thing and when I slapped him in the head and told him to get lost he got the idea. Now everytime he sees me he is kissing my ass.

He was damn annoying as the MC in Classicos.................

He's always running a scam on someone. (assuming we are talking about the same guy)

Sounds the same but then again I am sure he is not the only one down there who tries to play the game.

Its definitely the same guy. Hes a hustler looking to make money by any means he comes across. Hes a good guy if you keep an eye on him. Just have to keep your relations with him in perspective.
