It was a day late, but happy belated birthday for Eric Stratton. He provided pizzas for the chicas at Passions:smile: , and the girls gave a wonderful rendition of feliz cumpleanos. A good time was had by all.

Yeah, it was his birthday like it was his wedding last month! He has been to the DR too often and learned a few tricks from the chicas.

Well surprise, surprise.
Thank you Yayow.
Birthdays have never been a big deal to me. I've actually spent my last three birthdays in the DR and none of you guys knew.

It just slipped out accidently when Yayow pulled me over for a traffic stop and saw my drivers license.

Thanks for the best wishes everyone (especially Magnums ladyfriend!) ;)

She thought you were nice...(Presidente induced)...she did not give a rats ass about your birthday......she could not wait for the song to end (thanks for the setup with Big Dave sitting right there - I owe you!).....and absolutely loved your shirt!!!!

Happy Belated Birthday ErikS!!
Nice one, 3some! That is so late we will count it as the first for next year.

Don't know why you are sucking up to EricS though. He's a chicken who can't wait to get off the island once he learns the British are coming, then sneaks back when it's safe after we're gone. He doesn't want to pay back that 500 pesos I lent him!

... or was it the other way round?

For those of you who don't know, Weylands slightly older, but much better looking brother arrived in town last week. And I must say that he definately cut from the same cloth.

We were going out to dinner in "El Campo" with a large group of "normal folks". I had previously told your brother about your "loose lips sink ships" error during a previous dinner engagement.

So what does he do?
With about 25 people sitting around the outdoor table, he blurts out rather loudly: "Oh Erik, I just read on the internet that it was your birthday. Congratulations".

My chica later asked me "Where did he read that? What was he talking about? Do you post on the internet? Am I on the internet?"

Tell me about it ErikS! He's been an embarrassment to me like that all my life, that's why I have never mentioned him on here. It was really difficult following two years behind him through school. His blabber mouth was always getting me into trouble. Didn't I warn you he was coming and to stay away from him?

But I'm sure you had the presence of mind to say "Oh, it must have been on DR1"?

Loudly my arse. I think your fright was on the same level of reality as my fright at you handing over the wheel of your SUV to a Dominican speed freak. Anyway glad to hear you know who still rules.
But seriously folks, Erik was the greatest friend one never had. He introduced me to everyone as Weyland's brother (poor Weyland, he's regretting taking me up already, with all embarrassment I've caused him on the boards). I'd say rather that Weyland has treated me like a father, with an endless stream of advice and good suggestions, in public and private, all on the strength of the fact that my arrival doubled the size of the British token force (yes, we're still following the US everywhere, even after Blair). While Erik treated me like a long-lost brother. In particular, that party with "real" people was a great experience that I could never otherwise have managed. Muchas gracias, amigos!
