Hi I am new and my name is Sup.I have read many posts here and on DR1. I have finally made reservations for Apr 27 thru May 2. This is my first trip to the DR and with all the advice given here I hope I do well. Don't speak much Spanish, but with you guys advice I feel pretty comfortable. Trying to decide between Club Residencial and Europa. Other than that, I can't wait.:)

Depends on your budget and comfort level. Being new you should try to stay near the main strip. Europa, Club Res., Romamoff, The Palace and so forth. Since many ISOC people will be in town i suggest the Palace. Decent price, good service, basic location, whores on site, party atmosphere, good security and for a 3rd world chica friendly hotel it is the best place for someone in a new country to monger in. While there check out other places while not banging the whores and talk to as many people as you can. Connections are the most important thing in Sosua. Happy hunting.

Everything is 10-15 minutes walking.

What Jimmy said. Getting to the club from any of the hotels is no major issue on foot. Plus you come across so much while walking there.

Club R IS the best hotel on the strip. But keep in mind that it is a regular hotel that tolerates you bringing chicas back to your room one at a time. The majority of guests are there for a regular vacation. It is not a monger hotel where the majority of guests are looking for chicas. You have to be discreet.

The Palace is a plain out and out monger heaven. Anything goes. Everyone there will be doing the same thing you are and will be talking about it 24/7.

The Europa is a majority monger hotel that still trys to keep the illusion that it is not. Mongers there are just a slight bit more low key than at the Palace. .......and the small number of "regular vacationers" sometimes appear shocked by what they see.
The Europa will also charge you an extra $15 if you bring two chicas back at once (but read the forums....there are ways around that!).

Enjoy your trip and check the countdown room/ calendar and other threads. There will be many ISOC in town during your trip (including me: 28 April - 7 May).

Club R is an excellent hotel, usually my first choice, but not really suited for a first time visit to Sosua. Club R is a "laid back" hotel and more suited for someone who has made several trips to Sosua.

The Palace, which was recently freshened up, would be ideal for your first visit. You will be able to "really" have fun with the chicas at The Palace. During your visit there will also be ISOCers staying there.

The second choice would be Europa. I have called it, and still do say, Europa is a dump. A first trip to Sosua staying at Europa is what Europa is for. You will allways find mongers from NYC, Phili, Detroit staying at Europa. Most are not members here but still know P4P in Sosua.

A short first trip you will need information fast. You won't find anyone at Club R to tell the best time to hit the discos, what should I be paying ST, which bars charge salida, etc.

I am a strong supporter of Club R, but like I said it is not a place to stay for your first trip to Sosua.

You can't go wrong at Club Residencial. There's little distance between Club R and Europa, and chicas can't spy your EVERY move!!
