I went down with my girlfriend at the time....we stayed in Puerto Plata at an A1.....I remember the DR was just sort of opening up to the tourist thing, the airport had really no terminal, and I remember a garbage dump at the end of the airport road. But I also do remember talking to someone in Sosua as we were walking around, and he mentioned something about girls being available, and to stay away from them because they carry a lot of disease. Memory is vague it was quite a while ago.

Caught a few of them....always fun.....
The key to the deal is that you bait, troll and catch all on your own..
The charters would bait and troll and catch, and then give you the rod, at that point 95% of the fun is over....
I went to Acapulco quite a bit....and I got to know a guy who would take me out in his motorboat for $100 a day.....and allow me to do the fishing on my own. In fact you would fish for the bait on the way out to the fishing grounds, and have sufficient bait for the days fishing.

Now I'm just fishing for pussy...;)

Wow this is old Wardair has been out of Business for a long time. I remember flying with them as a kid they were like the US version of People air. Didnt they get bought by Air Canada? Or was it Canadian Air? Great little airline.

Some days are better than others...but generally a few hours of trolling will get you something.
I've been out on certain days also and, absolutely nothing
In the 80's, I used to go to Acapulco quite a bit, with friends and such, just for the fishing and partying.
Also been known to hit the La Huerta(spelling) and Rebecca's and Racquels, well know houses of ill repute back then.

Yes I did bang some whores back then....circa 80's Acapulco.

The very first whore I ever banged was in Acapulco in 1971.....
Two of my buddys and I loaded up our car up here in Canada and drove down to Acapulco. Took us about 3 days. And we spent a month there. I remembered we stayed at a place called Hotel Poulasios (spelling), it was a couple of blocks up from the main drag in Acapulco.
One night we went out the to bordello called La Huerta....I picked up this very large chested Mexican lady, and when we got back to her living quarters, it looked like they lived on site, she proceeded to take everything off including her HAIR...it was a shock and she turned out to be alot older than she appeared. But I was horny, we did the deed, and that was my first experience with a whore.
The one thing I will always remember from this is that, on her dresser she had a picture of Kirk Douglas, and on his lap was sitting said whore, and she indicated to me that she had dated him.
