Tony Pena, Sr., the All Star catcher, former manager of the Kansas City Royals and currently coaching for the New York Yankees, received the phone call all dads would love to hear: "Dad, I was called up to the big leagues!"
Tony Jr., known to everyone as "TJ", got the call himself yesterday morning and had to rush to catch the flight to Atlanta, Georgia, where it is possible he will make his major league debut tonight with the Atlanta Braves. TJ was playing with Richmond, in the AAA International League, and batting .286 while playing outstanding defense at shortstop.
