[DR1] Germany honors Sosua immigrant

The president of the Germany, Horst Kohler has conferred the German government's Federal Cross of Merit, First Class upon Luis Hess, a long-time Sosua resident, for his valuable contributions to Dominican-German relations. Hess arrived to the Dominican Republic in 1939. He received the medal from the German Ambassador in the DR, Karl A. Kohler in an event that took place in Sosua, on 10 April.
