The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will receive and review the eighth and last revision of the Stand-by arrangement with the Dominican Republic in today's session. The review of the letter of intent is on the agenda after being delayed by "unintentional technical mistakes." The IMF says that it will examine the last revision of the accord signed 28 months ago for US$632 million, equivalent to $437 million in Special Drawing Rights. The IMF indicated that it would approve several dispensations for failure to fulfill some of the structural changes within the government, but this is considered normal, according to a report in El Caribe.
