Hotel occupancy

Spent the last month trying to decide where in Sosua to stay.

What are the hotel occupancy rates like. Are they all always full, or is it practical to book somewhere in advance for a couple of days and then look around locally for a place for the rest of the holiday.

In my experience nothing is ever full.
Maybe on some selected days, but 99% of the time there are rooms available.

The Palace was full Friday and Saturday as was the Blue Dolphin. There were 35 guys that came down together for a party. In December the Hotels in Caberete shoot up to $150-$275 for X Mas. Chances are you will always find something.
