Saturday, 14 August:
I missed my flight, the last flight of the day. I don't want to talk about it. Things definitely got better the next day.
Sunday, 15 August:
Made the flight without any problems (yippee!). I eventually landed in POP. I was nervous about all the bribes and all, but I was prepared to tell them to "go to hell" if necessary. For some reason, no one asked for anything (that would change on the departing flight). Next thing, I know, I am outside of the airport. It happened so fast, I forgot to get some pesos. Getting back in the airport was such a hassle, I decided to wait until I got to Sosua.
I finally get a ride to the Palace (Jesus was there the day before, but I wasn’t). I am greeted by Mercedes. She and Gordo take me to my room and make sure everything is alright. We then head downstairs to the bar. Eventually Illiana, Mercedes II, Yahaira and others show up. I meet John and fellow mongers Lou, Sightseer69, BigSexxy, and John from Chicago. We mix and mingle with the girls. We then go and sample the 80 peso chicken from the street vendor on the corner. It is excellente’!!
We plan to meet up later in the evening and hit Puerto Plata.
I go back to the Palace and meet Soranji. It was so tempting to say “I know you!! I’m a big fan of your work!”. Blausiel is in the room also, so we meet. Mercedes had been telling all of the girls earlier in the day that I was her property. She pulls a lot of weight, because none of the girls interact with me unless I initiated it. She tells Soranji the same thing, but obviously Soranji has as much, if not more, pull. Soranji looks at me and asks if I want a happy hour? In my mind I’m screaming “YES! YES!”, but I ask her what a happy hour is. She explains and me, Soranji, and Blausiel are off to the room.
I’ve read about Soranji’s skills. But they are way better than advertised. Her and Blausi eat me alive. It was definitely a great introduction to the DR and the Palace. Sucking chrome off bumpers should be their part time jobs.
I meet up with the crew later and we head to Blackbeards. It’s was a cool place, but it’s not walking distance to anything. When we leave, we are asked for rides to wherever we’re going. That’s why I recommend the Palace. You can get to anywhere you need to go on foot within minutes. Anyway, at Blackbeards I meet a few mongers who all seem pretty cool. The girls are nice too. We stay for an hour or so.
On to Cristals! That place was packed with beauts. I talk to a few and end up hanging with Michelle. I work a deal to see her tomorrow toda la noche for 50 US. She initially wanted 100, but that’s just nutty! I never hook up with her and she asks me what happened to me when I see her the following weekend. More on that later.
Our plan was to hit Cristals, then El Bohem, and then a car wash. But as we leave Cristals, me and BigSexxy meet these two chicas across the street while we wait on a pork sandwich (good sandwich, btw). We negotiate for 1500 toda la noche and we’re off. BiggSexxy and date to Blackbeards. Me and Kathy back to the Palace. Kathy is 18 years old, dark complexion and sexy! I wasn’t expecting too much with her being so young. But she was excellent. She stayed the night and left early the next morning. She can be found across the street from Cristals. I saw her there the following weekend also.
