[DR1] DR has surpassed worst crisis

According to prestigious magazine "The Banker", the DR has overcome the worst banking crisis in its history and focused its efforts towards the strengthening of the peso and debt control. The magazine, which recently presented Central Bank Governor Hector Valdez Albizu with the "Governor of the Americas" award, now publishes a special 22-page supplement dedicated to the Dominican Republic. Part of the supplement's content is an interview with Valdez Albizu, who speaks about plans to strengthen local banks and protect the economy. He states that after the 2003 crisis, banks are healthier and full of opportunities for both domestic and foreign players.
