Hi - I recently joined your forum on DR and have been checking out airlines/flights but from Los Angeles the fares are expensive! I note that Jet Blue and Spirit might be possibilities in the near future but still it seems that I can get to CR from LAX for $200 less than DR.
It seems cheaper (on specials) to get from LAX to Santo Domingo. If I were to fly into Santo Domingo, are there local alternatives to get to the Souza area at a reasonable cost?

You can go from the airport to the bus terminal then take the 4.5 hour bus ride to Sosua for about $5.
