The tunnel on the Las Americas Highway leading from Santo Domingo to the airport will be closed for repairs beginning tomorrow night. The Minister of Public Works, Victor Diaz Rua, has order the repair of the iron grating that borders the roadway that is currently in very poor condition. The work will be carried out from 9:00 o'clock at night until 6:00 o'clock in the morning and force the closure of the tunnel from west to east (from Santo Domingo to the airport). The Ministry of Public Works will also clean up the tiles in the tunnels.
