Can I travel to DR without a passport? I found out that CR started requiring a passport last year. Is the same true for the DR? Thanks, Robert

Just get one it's so much easier.

If you go down with a Birth Cert and D/L then you need to be photographed upon arrival, could take 2 minutes or 2 hours.

Pay the $55 and get a passport.

I'm in the process of getting one. But it's turning into a major pain in the ass. I'd rahter have a 2 hour hassle, then deal with a 2 month hassle. Which is what it's turning into. Thanks for the info.

Passport was not required on my last visit (July). Went through the hassle, came back and went and got a passport. I have also been told that you will not be allowed to travel to the DR on a birth certificate in the very near future.

Ive been hearing this the last 2 years... but i still use my birth certificate and drivers license... i have no room left on the back of the certificate for a stamp but i still use it... never waited more then 5 minutes to take a picture either..

Most girls do not have passports. My guess is you want those to have ID to show their age? No worry, most of them have their cedula, which is a plastic ID card which hastheir birthdate on it. It's something issued by government, so it should be sufficient for you.
I don't know about video tapeing. Some girls have problems with photographs cause they're getting internet savvy and know they might end up on the internet. My last trip a lot of girls started asking about los paginas pornographia on the internet.
There are strip/whore clubs in Puerto Plata, Crystals and El Bohem being the most well known. Sosua has it's own little club as well called Flamingos.

The "PBA card" in the DR is Pesos... If you have enough they will look away from the bad things you do... Money Talks... I myself make sure Im with someone at least 18 ... its not worth the hastle and I dont have R Kelly's problem... 18 is young enough... As for the Passport... a few girls DO HAVE passports... they just dont have the visas to do the travelling to most countries... I have seen a couple of passports and they explained it to me that they need the visa to actually come to the US... and as for getting girls on film for 100 american dollars its possible... just make sure you have the contracts in english and spanish and make sure they sign them... and give you the right to sell their work!

Now, if the same situation were to happen the DR, I was just wondering if anyone knows if they could still prosecute. I plan on thouroughly checking every girls ID. I AM NOT planning on using anyone who is under 18.

The chicas down there are not rolling like that. If they have a cedula then you can rest assured they are at least 18 years old.
