Farm gear will be duty free

President Leonel Fernandez has announced that the government will permit technical equipment for farm use to enter the country duty free. He announced this measure during a meeting with members of the farming sector in Bonao. He said that the idea was to enable Dominican farmers to compete in the global marketplace. He also told his audience that in order to make better use of the newest technology, the people handling it would be offered training at the new Development and Technology building in Santo Domingo.
