Tollgate along the highway (between Santo Domingo and Boca Chica)

Here are pictures of the tollgate before you enter the airport and Boca Chica area (if you depart from the Santo Domingo area).

It's 30 pesos to go through.

But when you drive towards the Santo Domingo area, the tollgate is free.

I recall when we drove back to Sosua in October we had to pay 30 pesos, but on the way there, we didn't. It was funny we waited in one line for exact change that was longer, when we could have went through since we actually did have the change, but did not understand:lol:

It good to have exact change to get you through faster in the exact change lane. But I can't tell you how many times some guy will try to go through the exact change lane needing change. The toll keepers make them back out and get in the other lanes. That's good but when there are many cars behind him everybody has to back up. It's like a circus.
