[DR1] La Zurza being vacated

People living in La Zurza on the banks of Isabela River, have begun to be evacuated and their homes demolished to make way to an avenue that will pass through the area. The Office for the Reorganization of Transport (OPRET) reached an agreement with residents of the area for them to dismantle their own homes and salvage whatever could be reused elsewhere. OPRET is to guarantee the residents will be relocated in homes that will be built in another location. Until then, residents will have to stay with relatives. Temporary housing will start being built next week, according to OPRET Communications Director Leonel Carrasco.
