Banco del Progreso has announced the new members of its Board of Directors and the reception of resources from Shaffner Limited, a company related to Palmfund Management in Delaware, USA. Diario Libre reports that the board of shareholders chose Juan Bautista Vicini Lluberes as president of the Board of Directors, which will also include Leonel Melo Guerrero, financial consultant Guillermo Capeans, and the

Former Central Bank Governor Hugo Guilliani Cury was appointed Commissar and the former manager of The Chase Manhattan Bank, William Gambreal, will be Deputy Commissar. Michael A. Kelly will continue to act as president of the bank's Executive Committee. "We have awarded great value to the exemplary work and transparency with which this bank's directors have faced the problem created by the previous administration," said Bucher.
