US President George W. Bush's attendance at the energy summit scheduled for 28 and 29 May in La Romana has not yet been confirmed. Mexican and Central American heads of state have also been invited to attend a meeting that will follow up on the Cancun Summit on energy integration. The leaders will be choosing a location for the regional refinery proposed by Mexican President Vicente Fox in December 2005. This activity will precede the Organization of American States (OAS) General Assembly scheduled for 3 - 6 June in Santo Domingo.
