Re: 07/2019 - Current situation in Sosua
They will have to come to their senses pretty fast; I'm only a negligible sample of many individual decisions, but this February I take my small contribution to Colombia (of about 10M COP).
Every time this shit happens, I just delay my trip to Dom Rep or skip it completely. Probably each time it means RD $60K pesos less for Dominicans.
All counts to beers sold, lodgings nights sold, airport taxes paid, direct foreign divestment into pockets of Dominicans.
Sorry for the rant, but powers are dumb. Well, the princes have chosen Vancouver island and not Espagnola for a family paradise.
I don't want a vacation in a place where the authorities hassle the businesses, make the town unfriendly, fuck them!

Half of a month split even between two locations.

So a week in each place? You going to do a trip report, complete with restaurants and hotels?

I agree with Sage. I just posted this comment in another thread.................
I just got back from 10 days in the Su and had more girls than I could keep track of. One of my best trips ever. They were pretty much all FB friends though. I only grabbed one from the street so you are correct in that not nearly as many walking around for the point and click guys.

Some can't do that.

I can confirm this with both you and Sage during my 8 nights there in December over Christmas. Sure, the strip was dead but the chicas were around. Copa Cabana Bar was more jam packed than I could ever remember, though admittedly, never had been there that many times before. Other bars in the vicinity had more FL'ers than I had seen in the past.
The bars near Europa were doing a good trade with chicas hanging about. Coco Hotel had several chicas, mostly Haitianas, "working", during a few stops for a drink. For the first time, I took an FL who was hanging at Fraggle Rock, a thick Dominicana, but quite attractive.
I had imagined that many of these bars out on the perimeter of the old strip, or beyond, would suddenly have a boost in customers with the usual spots being closed, and while I was there, it sure seemed like it.
I think a fair number of chicas might prefer some of the "out of the way" places since they won't have to compete for attention with the hordes of chicas on the main strip area and maybe strike gold with a solo gringo, who otherwise would be among the crowded field of guys at the main bars.
That competition factor can work both ways

Real mongers such as Sage and Tiger know how to find them everywhere.

Some of the best girls have always been found away from the strip
Lot's and lot's won't even venture to the strip for fear of being arrested and all to often they don't think of themselves as a puta and they don't want to be seen on the strip.
Tam tam is another little out of the way bar that a gem can be found.

Absolutely true. They don’t want to be arrested and they don’t want to be accused of “walking”. Night out with the amiga(s) for some fríos and if they find a fellow to spend some time with jackpot.
Also, if it’s your thing, there are often a number of home alone novias or esposas of gringos out looking to get laid to break the boredom from the hubby being out of the country.

I'm not a foodie, but in respect for the audience I'm going to do some produce pictures. I am planning on staying at apartments. I will post my link dumps with all the relevant venues, touristy and hobby ones. Over all, I like the reports to be standing apart, as I also write them for myself.
Some of the BMs who read one of my previous from CTG are no longer with us.

I've not posted the photos of the girls then; we'll see this time, likely in green
I'm re-reading the original of 'Memories of My Melancholy Whores'.
There is an episode where the old man counts his 14 pesos before going out to a brothel:
5 pesos for himself and a dinner, 4 for the owner of a casa, 3 for the girl and 2 for a room
:peaceful:
