Now I read where the DR Senate wants to pass a law that states, no vaccine card, no entry into supermarkets, restaurants, etc....
Start the printing press for forged cards at 1,000 - 5,000 pesos each, Dominicans doing what they know best...
Re: 07/2020 - Current situation in Sosua - with Covid

Re: 07/2020 - Current situation in Sosua - with Covid
Most of the DR chicas I talk to are scared of,and want no part of the Jab.
They said that they have also heard of not being let in places unless Vaccinated.
A couple have said they have heard that people have died from having the jab,(There words, not mine)
They also said that they think that the president wants people to die( again, there words)
Although this sounds a little crazy,,,
In a way I dont blame them,,,as I think it should be a personal choice(and not mandated)
I myself only got it so I could travel to places requiring it.
I could care less if it protects me from the Man Made ,FAUCI FUNDED,, WUHAN VIRUS !!!!
Re: 07/2020 - Current situation in Sosua - with Covid
FYI: If your hotel doesnt give you covid test.
There is Clinic test center across from the main playero in Sosua....
Pretty good operation. When I got there at 9:45 it looked like cluster fuck. But it moves. Really all depends on the day and amount of people. You might be better off going in afternoon after the morning rush. When u go in take a number and brush up on your Spanish numbers when its called...haha... took about an hour...
Report same day: 2000 pesos...

it’s the herd mentality…….. they’re poorly educated, although very street wise…….. they just believe the gossip without being able to make up their own minds

I usually have a car so I go to the airport testing site. No appointment, no check in and return later, no clusterfuck and its also dos mil pesos. You'll be in and out with results in hand in 30 minutes. They are open Mon thru Sun, 7:30am to 3:30pm.

It doesn't matter. EVERYONE has to have a recent negative Covid test result in order to return home to the US. They won't let you board the plane without it.

18% with both jabs is incredible considering the vaccination only started in March. Canada only has 7% with both to put things into prospective.

These are the same women that believe if it's hot out and you open the fridge quickly that your body will paralyse. Most are uneducated and believe what they hear in the barrio through the coconut line. My gardner told me that each morning he drinks water and lime to keep the virus away. This is the education we are up against.

But with the vaccination, you can still test positive.

I'm not sure if this is a question or statement, but YES you can still test positive even if you've been vaccinated. And that's why there's so much anxiety for those of us that continued traveling to DR, Colombia, Jamaica, etc.

That is drama that I don't need these days.
Re: 07/2020 - Current situation in Sosua - with Covid
I would expect the CDC will likely drop the requirement for a covid test upon entering from an international destination if you have been fully vaccinated very soon.
