The Hotel Looks good! I will post pictures later. I was told by one of the workers that they are looking at the rates in the area and still have to work the rate issue out.They will work with you with the rates. They will have apartments on the third floor.

If you bring a girl she leaves her ID at the desk and gets it when she leaves.

I think it's the same one. They were working on it when I was there in Oct.

I'm not sure about about the ocean side thing. If it is the place 2 doors down from NG, it is not ocean side.

I'm not sure about about the ocean side thing. If it is the place 2 doors down from NG, it is not ocean side.

I am wondering about that too. On the website they have a photo from a balcony facing the water that looks oceanside. The only thing I can figure is a very long range camera or a second location or building??

Biggest question I think everyone will ask is about the Chica policies first such as
1. One only or as many as you like.
2. What about in or at the Pool one or more? With a guest only with ID at front?
or will they walk in off the street and be allowed to hang there and become a fancier newer garden?
3. Will the rooms and grounds justify the price difference to NG new section?
Since we won't know about all the discount or pricing yet all I saw was 7th night free on the website which then makes the price almost the same if breakfast is included.

Very observant my fellow drinker . I would assume in the state of mind I am in now that:::

The Rooms are Non Smoking for better breathing during Sex.
The Balconies come in both Smoking and Non Smoking for other extra activities like Cigars of course. One might go as far as to wonder what the penalty for smoking on a non smoking balcony is and what the cleaning fee to clean the non smoking balcony's air of smoke would cost and entail.

This is a pretty large hotel. I was inside it several years ago and it needed A LOT of work. All the rooms were very old and full of mold on the walls. I would suspect they stripped the rooms and pressure washed the walls and repainted. Another interesting thing was almost every room was already fully furnished and had nice looking air conditioner units.Last time I went by I did see them working on it at least in the front. It looks like they painted the place on the outside.

Its going to be difficult for them to fill the 55 rooms when they are more expensive than places like the NG where for the same price you can have a jacuzzi in your room.

One big thing in their favor possibly is how tight the security can be. The entrance was a small walkway and door for going in and coming out. It also looked like they broke open the restaurant a little and made an entrance out onto Dr Rosen directly for people to walk in the restaurant right from the road. This is a good idea so people dont have to wander through the whole hotel to get to the restaurant as it was before.

The old kitchen area was tiny so maybe they expanded that inside also.

Hope it works out well and they can provide nice rooms for the ISOC members at a competitive price.

Between this one and El Rancho and the new Cabana on the edge of town all opening within weeks of each other competition should get tight. Perhaps some of the hotels will start lowering rates even farther or adding a free meal. With Reported Haitian prices also now at 1500 TLN on the high side without negotiating they might really be booming soon if they were to offer a stimulous plan for mongors.
