    Continental upgrades

Well I'm checking in on line today for my flight tomorrow EWR-POP, As I'm checking in I'm givin the option to up grade to buisness class for a mere $79. It also includes access to the Presidents Club in terminal C at Newark airport. Didn't have to think twice about upgrading on this deal.

I'm hearing the New Garden is a full house!!! Reports to come.

Man what's going on up there on the North Coast, I don't remember there being this much rain.

They offered me a first class upgrade for 15k miles each way. or 400 dollars.

I waited and a few days ago they sent me an email that upgraded me for FREE!

Continental EWR to POP and Back Policy Changes

They no longer except cash for the beverage cart. Guess I don't need to bring a pile of 5 dollar bills anymore

    Plastic Cards only.

Soda/Soft drinks, coffee, water etc. are still free.

    No more pillows or blankets.

It was cold as hell on the flight home.

    "I'm very sorry sir"

Still a half a decent meal in cattle car.
    Who me ? ? ?
    nahhhh . . . move along, move along . . .

This is for all Continental flights, international and domestic, cash no longer accepted. Of course, we don't worry about these things in First Class....
All things considered, I'd rather be fucking.

Jet Blue has already been doing this cheap ass shit..... so I bring my own of everything, headphones, food, drink! And if I get cold, there is always my jacket.

    Hey Jay,

Did you notice any change in the security precautions on-board?

After that attempted bombing of the NW flight on Christmas day, I had heard that one of the new rules would be that everyone had to remain in their seats for the last hour of any international flight arriving in the USA. During that last hour, no more beverage service, no getting up to use the bathroom, nothing allowed on your lap, etc.

Re: Continental EWR to POP and Back Policy Changes

    No noticable change.

Goin down to POP I was in the Galley buying drinks and in the bathroom till the last 1000 feet or so (hell, they let me keep my drink for landing in POP)

Payed cash for my drinks on the way down BTW.

No difference on the way home either other than they wouldn't take my Money and it was cold as hell ! ! !
