i have a serious quagmire!!! i really want to get back down there before the year is up...but the thanksgiving invasion is going to be a toughy especially during the actual holiday weekend...family/relationship obligations are hinduring right now...

Jimmy..how does it usually work...if Lou or Eric cook a bunch of food, do all the guys usually just chip in or is there a general charge for the dinner? I don't think I ever read about that and was always curious.

I will be there from Friday, Nov. 17th, until Friday, Dec. 1st. My plans right now are to stay with a friend at FOD for my stay, but I would like to hang with you all as much as possible. Please keep me posted with any events that you all are planning and I'll do my best to make it.

That sounds like a nice, long vacation. I'll only be there 11/18 - 11/25. I plan to do a two week trip next year. Will you have internet access in the DR? We'll keep you posted on what we are doing and you can come meet us in Sosua. Once I get my DR cell working I'll send you my number.

You guys got your tickets already for this November thing? What kinda rates did you guys get? It looks like my plans for late Sept./early Oct. are out the window due to some circumstances arising and if there's gonna be ISOC mid-November, that might be doable for me.
I just did a quick search and laughed when i saw Continental wanted $600 for EWR-POP around that time. That's almost double what i've paid before. I'm sure i'll find something more to my liking .......

Hey Jimmy...I was thinking of flying out of EWR also but I want to wait till the prices come down a little bit. When the kids goes back to school that when the prices start to come down, usually after the first week of September. I'm trying to go around the Thanksgiving week also.

basically... but i have a $501 credit on Delta that i have to use before March... I will probably book soon for either thanksgiving or the week before Christmas... (not sure where i am going in Dec yet though)
