What's the difference between a "simple private bathroom" and a "modern private bathroom"?

    Re: El Colibri

If you go to their website, it gets sorta confusing.
as their REGULAR Prices for rooms are $40, $50 and $60
and the one BR APT is $300 a week.
    what gives ?

Classico's is the game. How can you be in sosua and not go to Classico's? Fred is cool but Cuba Libre's only have a few chica's, and lets be honest, passions has turned into an american strip club. I thought we got on a plane to get away from America? Colibre is a good hotel with a bad location. I spoke to Steven about that, the other day. Steven is very accommodating, he said they are thinking about buying golf carts to shuttle guests to and from Classico's

    Re: El Colibri

Ok here is the reply I got.
Monique and Steve will honor my discount even knowing that I already paid for half of my Vacation.

So I can say that they are trying theyr best to accomodate ISOC members and maybe more to come depending how much bisuness we give them.

    Dear Mr. name removed,

I am so sorry for the misunderstanding. Ofcourse we offer you the breakfast including promotion during your stay in Hotel El Colibri.
Thank you so much for your advise.

    Re: El Colibri

JD426 single prices if you book a few days, Then the $300 quote is for a full Week so you save $50.00 bucks.
    Instead of 50.00x7 = 350.00 you pay only 300.00.

One must have just the essential stuff and the Modern prolly a little more like a french Bidet maybe?

A BIDET is a low-mounted plumbing fixture or type of sink intended for washing the genitalia, inner buttocks, and anus.

Thats true, but Sosua is small enough already. Why limit yourself to 3 small bars.
Some chicas dont come out until night, and some come to down just to go to Classico. My opinion, you're cheating yourself if you dont see all this little town has to offer. Its called," hustling against yourself"'

    Re: El Colibri

I will see it all I think, be there for 12 days, with a few side trips to santiago, jaracaboa, cabaret and puerto plata, most of this trips are day time so I still will be enjoying nightlife.

I def. will be at classicos and the other bars.

IMO Classicos is overrated. As you said though, it all boils down to preference. I wouldn't mind going to a "regular" Dominican club even though I gave up the club scene a while back. But in this setting the whole idea of dancing and romancing gets tossed out the window when I know I can just easily point and smash. The selection wasn't that hot either. And most of the chicas can be had on the street. I can see the appeal if you're with a bunch of buddies hanging out. But I went there along with a wingman and we left in 15 minutes. The ugliest chicas I saw during my stay in Sosua where in Classicos. And their desperation is overwhelming. I felt like a celebrity that stepped into a room of subpar groupies. That being said everyone who goes to Sosua needs to check it out at least once so they can form their opinion. Love it or hate it, it's a well-known spot.

Personally, I could never understand the fascination with Classicos unless you like a smoke-inhabited venue that can also be considered a "death-trap-waiting-to-happen".
