Robots in the five-digit series are always welcome here. We have the last of the old 13000 series still functioning (Robot13212) but I think its circuits are damaged because it is acting erratically. It can no longer distinguish between haitiana-dominicanas and authentic haitianas.

but aside from the language aspect...

if you want small town feel, a beach, point and click pickings, and other gringos... then sosua is your joint.

if you like casas (whore houses) a big city feel, no beach, then santo domingo is for you.
Yeah, you have a point. Some guys like being around a couple hundred drunken gringo's in capris and flip flops, passing the same 500 Putas back and forth.

Others like blending into the crowd, choosing from among about a million Chicas, some working, some not.

If I want the beach, Boca Chica is 20 min away, Guayacanes is another 5 minutes and Juan Dolio another 5 minutes down the road. I just got back from 13 days in Santo Domingo and went to the casas on my first night and my last night there. The rest of the time we found Chicas at the Malls, in restaurants, Universities, at the supermercado, just walking down the street and the nightlife in Santo Domingo is ....well....let's just say that so-sewer can't touch it.

If I'd spent that 13 days in so-sewer on an itinerary of "eat-drink-sleep-fuck-repeat" I would have had a terrible time....but that's just me I guess.

It comes down to convenience vs. adventure. The adventure that can be had in SD is more valuable to some guys and especially those that have been to DR a few times. For the rookie trip--especially if solo, it's probably better to go with the convenience of Sosua. It seems like a lot of money can be spent just on transportation getting around El Capital also. Personally, the idea of not knowing where my next piece is coming from makes things interesting so the idea of pully chicas from the malls, restaurants, parks etc...has some appeal to me.

Maybe he should go to Boca Chica and hook up with some other dudes that are headed to SD for a day or two. This way you see a small point and click easy to navigate town with a beach and also see the big city.

Several times to DR but first time to Sosua/Santiago....Need help

What's going on fellas? I just got put on to this site and it seems like y'all have the low down & inside info for everything. I started hitting the DR in '07 and have been almost every year since. I've always done Santo Domingo and Boca but it's time for a change. I've heard nothing but great things about Sosua so it's finally time. Looking to do 2 nights in Santiago and the other 3 in Sosua...Any advice you can provide would be appreciated.....Places to stay (in both cities), areas to hit (and avoid), which "clubs" have the hottest chicas, just the lay of the land in general. Late !

The strip in sosua is pretty much one block long.. you can just go club to club, bar to bar and find whatever you find to be the hottest chicas. Its not like santiago or Santo Domingo where you would have to take a taxi from place to place. as for places to stay.. check out the sosua hotels section and choose for yourself. I havent personally stayed in santiago. Ive only passed through and visited someone once, but from what ive heard, i wouldnt bother staying there at all.. but, maybe thats just me.

Lots of info on here about hotels but need someone to break it down for me....

There is a shit ton of info on here about hotels in Sosua which is great. But seeing as how this will be my first trip down there (Sosua, not DR) it's almost an overwhelming amount of info and everybody has varrying opinions...which is normal I guess. I just need someone to break this shit down simply for me. Here's what me and my friends are looking for:

    1. Chica friendly- goes without saying, considering the site that we're on, but still...
    2. Down for whatever- I read a few reviews of some nice places, but they are sensitive to music playing & partying. I'm not looking for a all night fiesta with people screaming at the top of their lungs all night (excluding my chica of course), but at the same time if me and my traveling companions want to play a few tunes poolside with some chicas, I don't want management to gives us a hard time
    3. Nice Rooms - Looking for the perfect blend of reasonable rates, but very nice, clean, spacious rooms. I see a lot of folks talking about this spot & that spot for $30, 40 per night but comes with some drawbacks. I'm not ballin' by any means, but willing to spend a little more ($60-75) per night if the place is worth it.
    4. Distance - Don't necessarily want a hotel right in the middle of everything but not looking to walk 5 miles just to get to the heart of the action either.

Any knowledge you can drop on me would be appreciated. Thanks fellas!!!

Each location is different for everyone according to preference. Search through and Read and see which best suites you. One persons report may not be the same as another. Most reports are detailed with all the info you are looking for.

The NG is about the only place I can think of, except a villa, that you could play tunes around the pool in the middle of the night, and even then you'd have to be reasonably quiet so another guest wouldn't feel the need to come down and throw the stereo into the pool!

if your spanish is good then santiago is a zillion times better than sosua!

    hotels are pricey....about 75 a night

    try aloha sol

you can meet girls at the casino at aloha sol or any casino in the big hotels...passions in santiago is a must and also club vintahe which absolutely shits on classicos....there are other locol places where the women are abundant EU BAR, LOVERA BAR, ANDY RANCH pool.....just depends on your spanish

as far as sosua it all depends on how much u want to spend....

hit me on the PM, ill set u up and u give me info on sdq and boca!

New guys like to sign up and have a trip planned for them for some reason. Some still actually read a few reports and then ask questions.

As the resident Santiago homer on this site, even I gotta tamp down your enthusiasm for Vintage. You could say that maybe Vintage shits on After One, since they're both the same types of after hours places, but Classicos beats Vintage hands down in terms of size and chica quantity (but not quality). Vintage is small and every night there will be some big dogs tying up all the best girls. I would have no issue saying that LVL, Francifol, Sajhara, Camus, Montebar, Las Vegas all shit on Classicos, but again, unlike Classicos, these are not whore market trading floors. They're real nightclubs with regular girls where you gotta use your game and charm to try and pull something for the night.

If I said the things to a girl in Sajhara that I said to a whore in Classicos, I would've been slapped or worse.

For the record I read damn near all of the threads on Sosua hotels, but with all of the conflicting reports I just wanted some other opinions that met everything I was looking for. I missed the part where I asked for an entire trip to be planned for me, but I guess I'm not that bright. Thanks for being understanding to a newbie and making this place so welcoming. It's greatly appreciated!

Well if you read a few dozen trip reports, you would have so much more information.

When I join a new board, I put up a report or two and then ask questions. We are not that kind of board.
