Been to Sosua/Puerto Plata many times, as well as other countries. I am looking to go to Cartagena for a week but was looking for hotel recomendations and other useful information. So far only see Spirit Airlines as a cheap option, and was not really interested in taking them. Looking at Copa or maybe just fly into Bogota or Medellin and bus over. Any information would be appreciated

Ok Billy. I am going to try to help you here, before another member gets nasty with you. My first suggestion is to purchase trip report access from the site. You will find most of the information you need in recent trip reports.

If you choose to pay for access, you will find pictures of the apartment I rented, chicas I fucked, and a very bad mishap I had in Cartagena. Personally, I do not see myself going back anytime soon. But you will have to read and find out why. I also went to Medellin. If you use the search feature, you will find that report as well.

Now I know that Questioner also went to Cartagena a couple months ago. You will have to pay for access to his report as well.

Now assuming that you still want to go to Cartagena, Spirit is probably going to be your cheapest bet. I personally hate Spirit, but I do put up with them at times. The other option is if you can get a cheap flight to Bogota, there are many cheap airlines that fly between Bogota and Cartagena. Some are on sites like travelocity, but some are not.

One last piece of advise. Unless you are stuck on going somewhere with a beach, I would go to Medellin. The chicas are allot cheaper and I found the locals more tourist friendly. Just my two cents.
