The BQ Hotel is in Bella Vista, I stayed there two years ago. They have a few street walkers on Sarasota, but I wouldnt consider it close to the action. IMO the action is near Independencia and El conde.
Yeah Bella Vista is a nice neighborhood, not much action there, There was one casa on Sarasota, next to the big hotel on the south side of the street, can't remember the name of the hotel (even though I was there less than a month ago for a meeting).
Don't even know if that casa is still there, although I think it is, been a couple of years since I went in there.
Why should I limit myself to only one woman when I can have as many women as I want?

there are streetwalkers. some dude recently posted a trip report/rant about banging streetwalkers in alleys and the such.
It isnt close to the action. it is closer to the malls and some of the bars locals go to but there isnt much casa action out there.
The casa's and tourist areas are in sections called Gazcue, and zona colonial.
Im gonna have to keep and eye out for the casa Yayow just described
What's the name of the biggest hotel on Sarasota, it's right next to it. I can see the hotel in my mind eye, just can't recall the name.
I know the Hotel, you're talking about, I dont remember the name either, but it has a Casino. Its a huge Hotel, and its across the street from the BQ. The bartender at the BQ, used to tell me about this casa, near there. I never checked it out because, I was traveling solo, and I had a rotation of 4 chicas keeping me busy, and frankly, I thought casa's were gringo shit. Now I wish, I would have went in for a look see. Last trip, I went to the Casino, and looked for the casa, but couldnt find it.
I think the hotel across the street is Occidental. I stayed at the BQ hotel. Its fine. Has a rooftop pool and a nice casual restaurant.
Yep that's the hotel the one with the casino, like I said IDK if the casa is still there, it's been a couple of years since I was in it, but I believe it is still there, it was in the corner right down from a couple of nice restuarants adjacent to the hotel. I met a couple of people one night about a month ago in one of the restuarants over there, but didn't get a chance to see if the casa was still functioning.
How far way is this place from the action? Walking distance? A short cab ride? The hotel looks nice and if it's not too far I'm considering staying there, unless someone has a reason I shouldn't?
And if I'm not mistaken, when you guys refer to the "action" you're referring to El Conde in the Colonial zone?
The only thing it's walking distance to that would be interesting is Bella Vista Mall and the nightclub in Hotel Occidental. It's not walking distance to El Malecon or Zona Colonial. If you're willing to take a taxi, then the action areas are about 10-15 minutes away at night.
this guy needs to spend more time in La Capital so I have a better idea where you guys are talking about.....
instead of getting locked down so much in Boca Chica....tuff to leave the beach and punani sometimes....lol
I stayed at the Hotel BQ last year. It has a rooftop pool and nice restaurant. The rooms are ok. It is located in a upscale residential area. There is a small college/plaza on the corner, if you are looking for normal girls. Lots of high end bars/restaurants in the area.
The hotel across the street is the Embajador. There was a nightclub named TABOO II in the small plaza to the right just before you enter the hotel grounds.
TABOO I used to be next door to Lapsus, but it's been gone for some time now.
I'm guessing the TABOO II isn't there any more.
The "action" could be the Conde, I guess, but I'd prefer to think the "action" is Calle Pasteur, between George Washington and Independence Ave.
BTW, nice to see newbies reading the older threads like this, even if it means reviving them. Better that than asking stupid questions without reading anything.

The plaza that I am talking about is located on winston churchill and Ave Sarasota. They are lots of bars and restaurants on the ground floor and the classrooms are located upstairs.
A very nice area, and a very nice plaza with some high end shops, and restuarants, the chicas that go to that school in that plaza are gorgeous. The plaza is right across Churchill from a McDonald's that most of the students go to for lunch, and across from it on the Sarasota side is a liquor store on the corner which is like a club on Sundays where a lot of hot young chicas hang out as well, have hung there a few times, when hanging with some young chica friends, and have met quite a few of their yuppie friends.
Must admit I am a bit curious Jcrew, I don't know if you can or care to discuss it, but your profile says you are 32 and retired and living in D.R., C.R. and or Thailand , just wondering how you pulled that off. I thought I was doing good being able to retire at 47 and moving down to D.R.
