They have about 40 rooms, going for about 2,000 a night. You can just swim there for 200 pesos per person.

Actually they have put a lot of work into that hotel the last 6 months it is a lot better than what it used to be. They put in a nice size salon, and have cleared out office space or club space depends what they will do with it, facing Independencia Ave. Hope it comes all the way back, it is a nice location, you often will find me getting a ice cold Presidente in the colmado, directly across the street from it on Independencia, you get a nice view of many chicas as they stroll along Independencia. Also at night a few street walkers will stop in for a cold one. Used to be street walker central about before the crackdown on Independencia.

No pictures of the pool? It is hard to find a hotel with a pool in Santo Domingo for that price. I usually stay at Hotel Drake, they have 2 locations in SDQ and one of them has a pool.

You know back in the day they had a small club/disco on the bottom floor facing Independencia, it would be nice if they brought that back, good place to meet some non and pro chicas.

Actually someone told me that was the reason, they were doing a lot of the work there because someone was looking to do something along those lines there, but it seemed that the plans fell through. Right now the space is cleaned out waiting for someone to make a move.

Its more like a New Garden style of Hotel. One can hang there all day and night.

i honestly didnt even know it was open. I drive by it so much but never even thought it was open.

The pool sounds cool. That is the one thing that is missing from my santo domingo trips, more time in the pool or the beach.

there are 2 other hidden spots in gazcue that you wouldnt even know exists.

One is on calle danae towards the independencia end. it is a bar but it is hidden behind the ivy and gate. Mc(something) or O'(something)

There is also another club or casa on carlos delgado. I havent had a chance to stop in either place.

Looks like it may well be my new spot in SD as well.

Great location, a pool and off-street parking......perfect.

ahhh then i definitely need to bring the esposa there.....! Yeah its closer to santiago and the colmado. I didnt know it was lesbo joint. I have seen lots of people in and out. i was wondering if it was a casa?

I have never seen anyone at the place on danae, I will be stopping in next time because i remember the pool table being nicely felted. It might be a nice 'quiet' meetup place in the future.
