    Kucara Macara

If you like western style restaurants (Old West), than you'll love this place. The staff is dressed in cowboy outfits and the theme is definately right out of a John Wayne movie. Food is decent, girlwatching is much better. Located across the street from The Monument.

Owned by a Dominican raised in NYC, the service is fast or was the last two times I was there.

    The Monument

area sounds like the place for food and eye candy in Santiago
    according to your restaurant posts.

At night and the next day, I went to a restaurant called "Kukara Macara". The address is

    Av. Francia #7
Zona Monumental (Frente a los escalones del monumento)
    Santiago

    Tel: 809-241-3143
    Fax: 809-276-5077
    Cell: 809-902-4655
    www.kukaramacara.com
    Email: restaurant@kukaramacara.com

It is a nice outdoor, 2-story restaurant.

Here are several pictures of the menu, food, and atmosphere.

Yes, the food was wonderful here when we ate there last year. It trips me out that the waiters are dressed like cowboys.
