High Caribbean opens Thursday in new style

From Thursday, October 26, Ad of Rancho Tipico and Chaka Bar will be the new activities director of High Caribbean disco. Peter is the manager in the background. As of Thursday, there are a series of events on the program. They will have special offers a few times a week at the restaurant.
Special offers like steak, burritos, tacos and BBQ night. There will be performances by well-known Dominican bands scheduled too. There are karaoke, bikini, and foam party shows with great prizes for participants. The DJ plays until 1 am only Dominican music, interspersed with Haitian music. After 1 am to 5 am there is disco and rock and roll music on demand. The waitresses will also regularly do a dance show. The good old times will be back at High Caribbean disco, Ad, Peter and the waitresses will take care of that. So Thursday is the opening night of this legendary nightclub of Sosúa in a new style.

I doubt it and he won't last there as he will eventually alienate the ownership again and they will let him loose.

AD is flat ass broke with hardly a peso to his name anymore.

He can only work for someone else at this point.

AD biggest benefit was that he could draw in the people but I think his luster has worn off quite a lot.

His last venture was a complete bust and he really burned some people to the point that he will likely be looking over his shoulder for quite sometime.

..but he has done this to himself . no one else is to blame ..
U do NOT Alienate people who have done nothing but try to help you , and bring you even more customers , so you can continue to be successful ..

It is the polar opposite of giving people the " vip" treatment, or at least treating them like friends, even if you only see them once every couple months.
Most good People come to spend money, not make problems.. Learn to tell who those people are and treat them right.
He lost that ability.

High Caribbean disco closes its doors

Unfortunately, the three investors (Peter, Gunther and Mark) have decided to stop the High Caribbean disco. The nightclub was visited moderately by visitors in recent months causing much loss.

The monthly rent, energy bill and staff wages were nowhere near covered by the revenue from sales. Unfortunately for Sosúa that this beautifully renovated nightclub has to close its door so soon again. In the past summer, the three investors have remodeled the disco beautifully and it belongs now without doubt to the most beautifully decorated clubs of the north coast. But because the disco is located at the end of the main street Pedro Clisante, and also because large sections of the road are still unlit, the tourists left this beautiful disco for what it was.
We hope for a new start, it's really a shame that this club is now closed.

No big surprise to anybody. It's too bad that it couldn't make a go of it. I think the right person can make this place work, but it's a sign of the times for Sosua. Rents are too high, electricity, the cost of product and wages....the math doesn't work anymore. The new owner would really need a reason for people to go there, a new attraction. It's not about the location. Guys are going further to Elvis' and that place is busy as hell.

That group of ownership appeared to have no clue as to how to run a place that big and it showed.

Combine that with mistreatment of staff and there could be no be success there

The last ditch effort to bring AD back was futile at best.

He will likely never own anything in Sosua again and the girls think he is garbage and apparently even his followers no longer care to patronize him either.

In my travels today I drove by the old Rancho Tipico and there is major renovations being done,anyone know what's going on?

Don't expect to see him resurface any time soon for a variety of reasons.

The old Rancho Tipico is being re done.

Someone said it was to become a pizza place but I don't think AD will likely have much involvement with that as someone else owns the location

The "new" RT location is a pizza joint. Huge wood burning over and an open concept restaurant. It looks good and clean. Next week I'll stop in and try some. The only opened a few weeks ago.

Now he has decided to open a beach bar once again 100 meters from the entrance of the beach. The bar will be called the 'Punta Cana' bar. Punta Cana? That is on the other side of the island? Certainly, but Ad says, because of this unusual name, nobody forgets that I am active again on the beach. Ad wants to make it a bar with lots of music, fun and affordable prices. The BBQ and day menus will also come back.
So who wants to visit Punta Cana? You can now get there on foot!
Ad expects to open today, Sunday, November 4 the bar Punta Cana (Caseta nr. 26).
