    04/2014 - Sosua is dead...what's next?

Fellas I've been visiting Sosua for about 3 years now and during my last visit I felt that things were at their worst.

Why do I feel this way?

    1. 1. Every night, there was at least one fight in either D’latins, rhumba or after 1. On my last night in sosua (a Saturday night) I observed 2 fights in rhumba, 1 in d’latins and 1 at after one. Fellas, im down there on vacation, to relax and have a good time. Not to be around people who are acting like animals. In the past I never use to observe this many fights duing my trips.

. 2. the chicas are asking for a lot more money but they are putting in a lot less work. For example, in the hotel that I was staying at, a chica give this dude a handjob and then demanded that he pays her 3,000 pesos. She threatened to call the police unless he payed her that amount. Eventually she accepted 1500 for the hand job. WTF is that. One of the dudes that I was hanging with told me that he took a girl back to his place and when she got there she told him that her stomach hurts and that she could not fuck but was still asking him to give her some pesos. If she knew that she had stomach pains from her period why didn’t she just keep her ass at home instead of trying to hustle that dude out of his pesos.

    3. 3. Some dudes down in sosua are acting reckless and are posting pictures and videos all over Youtube. Now the girls are getting access to this stuff and are not allowing us to take pictures and videos as much as we use to. A chica even told me herself that she got this dude in trouble with the police because he posted naked pictures of her on the internet.

    4. 4. Way to many SIMPS and WU guys. The girls are getting so much money from WU now, that they will walk away before you during a negotiation. I even had one refused to accept 1500pesos for 2hours at 5:30 in the morning. She walked away and did not even look back. She demanded that I pay 2000 for 2hours at 5:30 in the morning. WTF.

    5. 5. Is it me…it seems like there is less girls around. After one is usually pack on Saturday nights but it felt like it was a weekday when I was there on a Saturday night. In addition, I kept on seeing the same faces aroud Monday-Thursday and most of those faces I’ve been seeing for the past few years and have not had any urge to go after them.

    6. There is not a lot of girls around that are 8's, 9's and 10's. Very few 9's and 10's and a couple of 8's.

Fellas, what’s your opinion on how sosua is changing. Is it time to head over to Medellin, Thailand or AC and say goodbye to Sosua?

Ok....I gotta get the popcorn ready for this. Gonna be a rainy weekend where I live so I need to be prepared for the ensuing tsunami of opinions from everyone.

I say 10 pages by Sunday midnight!

You sound heated dude. It's been a year now since I've been to Sosua and heard some of the same things before that. I can say that some are demanding a few more pesos, but even a ho's cost of living increases and like you said--they are getting it from somewhere, so why not ask for more. I don't recall ever seeing a lot of fights though--that would turn me away if out of control. Simps, WU, captains etc...and the dudes that think they're doing something new or special putting themselves out there to attract extra attention to what we do, does seem at an all time high.

    Re: Sosua is dead...what's next?

    Monger Utopia

I have travelled through-out Latin America to most of the favorite destinations in this thing of ours most recently Medellin and I will say that there is no such thing as a Monger Utopia. Each monger venue has its challenges because in those venues we are extranjeros who in general are seen as an opportunity for the next meal. As for Medellin the Paisas were less likely to scam you but in general were more businesslike in my experience.

I would encourage you not only to visit different mongering destinations but to explore more of the Dominican Republic than Sosua. I have met some pretty decent people in other parts of the Island.

As for Sosua I would encourage anyone who is going to go frequently to learn Spanish and study the culture. I am an advocate of the interview and which includes speaking in Spanish about more than "cuantos tu quieres?" the woman's responses will tell you a great deal about her. In fact I have had more than one woman walk away from me or disqualify herself at some time during the interview process.

As far as the fights are concerned I would encourage you to minimize your alochol consumption, be careful who you spend time with and be aware of your surroundings regardless as to the mongering venue you choose. More often than not were ever there is PFP there is a criminal element close by where that be illicit drugs or any other type of crime.

Lastly spread your wings and try Santo Domingo, Medellin, San Jose and Panama City and draw your own conclusions.

Fellas, what’s your opinion on how sosua is changing. Is it time to head over to Medellin, Thailand or AC and say goodbye to Sosua?
    1. There is fight in disco everywhere in the world.. it will not change.. i dont know how was sosua before, but i can tell you when i go out in my own city in canada there is fight at the disco, what i do to avoid that? I got in more tranquillo bar, same thing here, i haven't seen a fight at Rancho Tipico yet and its very full 4-5 days per week...

    2. Chica with trouble will always be.. anywhere in the world also... again, in my own city, when i call independant escort, its hit and miss, sometime you have bad sometime oyu have good, they wont treat you with police but they will call a guy that will point you a gun in your face if you dont pay everything you got, so... I also had chica in sosua with stomach pain, you cant do shit about that except when you see her you ask if she is in period, or if its ok for sex, you offer 2000 pesos to her for sex, you make it clear, not just wanna come to my house, ok, 2000 pesos... I am not sosua expert yet but i learned alot since past months.

    3. For the picture, it is normal... social media are growing... chica have 2000 friend on facebook.. they dont want to appear naked... more and more chica have facebook.. phone are less and less expensive with internet... more and more people on social media = chica less and less willing to take pic. None of the chica i had refused that i take picture of her with clothes outside of my hotel room but inside its different story... i dont post picture no more but that is because of snitch not because of trouble with police.

    4. Maybe the chica at 5:30 in morning had another guy or wanted to go sleep but for extra she would have gone with you ... i seen chica asking 4000 pesos for a moment, but does that mean i will pay that? no but i bet some stupid tourist will, and not stupid, some really have the money and dont care, if the chica is REALLY to their like then they wont care... your on a week or 2 week vacation what is it 12$ more for the chica you REALLY like ( 1500->2000 )

5.Can't say about #5 because i never been here before this year.

yep sosua is a shit hole and only gets worse every time you go back i been to ac and manila and it's way better then sosua will ever be people are great the girls treat you good and they don't let the local thugs hang out in the hookers bars its great lol

im heading to the philippines next month and will also be hitting up thailand can't wait for that then ill be heading to medellin next year and to tell you the truth i don't see a dr trip for many years cause there's a lot of better places to spend my money and see the world while doing it instead of just burning all my cash on some fucked up island with hot chicks and cool ex pats are the only things i like about the dr besides that its a pretty shity place in my mind

    Re: Sosua is dead...what's next?

I'm probably going to take heat for this, but this is my observation. Anything over a seven that's getting clients on a regular basis is going to cost you a worry free 2000 pesos ($46 at the current exchange rate). Yeah , you can sometime negotiate them down to 1500. Only problem is they often will try to find a way to give you 75% of what they would have given you if you had paid the 2000.

Couple of factors involved here that I know most mongers don't give a shit about. The peso has devalued by 35% or so over the last five years. The average dominican's buying power has been reduced further by additional taxes and fuel increases. Bottom line is 1500 pesos doesn't go nearly as far as it did even 3 years ago. Last, but not least the town is awash in stupid gringo money. The more enterprising hoes can get paid 3000 ST on the regular. When I land one of those chicks at 2000 I view it has a bargain. If a girl can get more she's going to ask for more and it's her business so she should have the right to. There's deflation present in the cost of many things. Unfortunately pussy in Sosua isn't one of them.

Guys who once went to Brazil and watched the cost of sex go from $50 to $150 have the right to bitch. Guys going to Sosua who have experienced maybe a move from $41 to $46 (exchange rate adjusted) over the last three years for ST with a mid-high level quality chica really shouldn't be complaining.

Never been there, and will never go there to monger. No one can convince me there aren't more than a handful of attractive girls in Sosua, and if there are I haven't seen then. Just by the observations I've made from this board, it seems like a lame place with 99% ugly females, can't see why anyone after a couple of trips to the Dominican Republic wouldn't feel the urge to branch our, and actually meet quality looking females.

    Re: Sosua is dead...what's next?

Sosua is NOT dead. The problem is Dominicans want something for nothing.. Guys are getting caught up with the ass and the chica is only interested in the cash. They running game. If a chica doesn't put in a performance then you get rid of her. I laugh when dudes say she threatened to call police.. You can pay the police to get rid of her and she will be screwed.

Its all a game and the you got dudes NOT wanting to pay as well. They get mad when a chica tells them NO to 1500rd.. You gotta pay for what you want. Then the kats that say "How much" ?? Your asking for a robot. Too many guys come down here tryna fuck for 1500rd.. Im sorry but times have changed. They want more money. Sosua isn't dead yall need to improve your train of thought. The club in NY that cost $20 to get into in 2005 now cost $35 to get into.. Times change

    Re: Sosua is dead...what's next?

Sousa has always been like this...I am referring to the drunk young guys fighting and making it rain...

The women well beauty is in the eye of the beholder so my 9 might be your 4 and visa versa...not a real issue I care about the bbbj and my leche...

The overpaying well that comes and goes sometimes I get a chica for 1000 pesos and then I return 3 weeks later and she wants 8000 because someone else paid that...

I always say its your vacation pay what you want to pay...it doesnt affect me because I will find a street rat that will take 1500 or 2000 instead of paying you 8000

Just remember its your vacation YOU CREATE THE ILLUSION...

I still have quality chicks that will take 1500 for ST and I have had a few that wouldn't take less than 2500. The 1500 chicas will make more with me over time than the ones asking for2500. You can find chicas at your price points. You just gotta be willing to put the work in.

Victorian House, really? That's not a monger spot. Are you changing it up a little? I just had a friend stay there, hope you treated him well. Not that it matters, they started their days drunk on the golf course.
I've been wanting to stop in there, can I get a tour?

As I've been saying, Sosua is changing. More specifically, Pedro Clisante. You can't stop it as there is just too much weight behind it. Although it's taking awhile because Dominicans don't know how to take advantage of incidents like fights. Three fights in one night? Call out the swat team, clear out the bars, start frisking, haul off the smart asses, card the chicas.... You'd have a hundred plus guys cutting their vaca's short and never coming back. I guess it's a good thing I'm not in charge, ha.

I still predict that you won't recognize Pedro Clisante in a couple years. However, on a bright note, the chica's aren't going anywhere. Just the party atmosphere.

i def agree with this. the chicas that take 1500 from me, stay all night, we go at it all night and they never complain. Ohh and i usually take them several times during my trip and they usually make about an extra 1000pesos in tips from me.

I met this chick who knows all the lyrics to many hardcore rap songs. I was shock when i saw her rapping with the songs but she still does not know how to speak english. The HipHop influence is substantial.
