09/2023 - Early October, too risky for DR?

    Hey folks

New here- and keen on exploring the joys of DR for a few days

Unfortunately the only work absence that might work this year, will be in early October- would that be too risky, weather-wise? (Nothing booked at the moment).

The highest risk is to stage your own kidnapping.

September 10th is the peak of hurricane season.

You can book as close as possible to your trip after verifying with the National Hurricane Center.

Generally, October is a low season due to rain.

There has only been one in the past 20 years.

No problem in October, however it's still extremely hot until about the 3rd week. Occasional rain at night and lots of sun during the day. If you're coming to the North Coast, don't worry about hurricanes. They seem to miss us or pass us gently.
