This is true. Quality overall in late November was about the worst I've ever experienced, however, after getting home and doing a post-op review I can say that I managed to snag some real cuties. Definitely on par with previous trips.

    Re: 12/2016 - Sousa In Jan 2017

Question for the vets. The world famous wings and I are coming back this summer for more Wing Stories. We plan to change the base of operations. We wanted to be closer to PC so we were looking at New Garden, Casa Valeria and Terra Linda.

On Booking .com, Terra Linda looked good and we loved the restaurant, but the rooms seemed way expensive!

We all know New Garden has been an ISOC favorite for years, but at 62, I am not into hearing a lot of noise till all hours. After the fuckin', I want to go to sleep!

So it appears that Casa Valeria is the winner. I saw that there had been construction going on. I am sure it will be long finished when we get there in summer 2017. Is there a particular part of the hotel that anyone would recommend or does it matter for peace and quiet with bigger rooms maybe?

And I thought there might have been a part of New Garden that was not as noisy and had better rooms too. Or am I remembering someplace else?.

And info is more than welcome.

Also, at Terra Linda, supposedly, Scotch and Sirloin, and the El Batey Grill are supposed to both be pretty good. Any feedback Fellas?

Both Terra Linda and Casa Valeria are not big on mongers. Especially Casa Valeria. They seem like they're more into couples and family's, so they don't want the mongers running them off. Some guys swear by Terra Linda, but I've never been a fan. Switching prices, not giving a shit, etc.

I haven't heard how New Garden is with the rooms across the street. Anyone?

Thumbs Up Re: 12/2016 - Sousa In Jan 2017

Scotch & Sirloin at Hotel Terra Linda is a fine restaurant....if overpriced a little (or not, opinions vary) and breakfast is excellent as is the atmosphere.

I did not enjoy the pizza from Pizza Uno since they burnt the shit out of it and declined to replace it. I choose not to repeat. There are many excellent places to get Pizza in Sosua (unless you're a [NYC] pizza snob!) lol

I'm guessing that El Baey Grill is what they were building at the very front in July...and it was just raw timber when I was there....but it's "Dominican" food. No idea of price or quality.

IMO the rooms have almost always been overpriced, the owner is a dumb cunt and they will never get my hotel business.

Casa Valeria has completely redone, or is in the process of redoing, all their rooms and the restaurant. It has expanded the number of rooms which should make it a little easier to get a room. It was always a quiet low key place and I assume it will continue that way after construction is complete. The restaurant is good, better than most, and the owner friendly.

New Garden seems to have mostly drifted away from the party/frathouse atmosphere which is a welcome change. Sure there ae mongers there but I mostly see and hear them later in the mornings. Those of us that eat an earlier breakfast seem much more reserved. The clientele seems mostly European, specifically Italian and there are many families, complete with children and dogs that eat dinner there. The food is outstanding, Italian for the most part and the pizza very good.

There are 3 types of rooms....the original ones, the newer ones in the 2nd (?) building and then the newest across the street in the hotel they bought and renovated. It would be my choice of the 3 being discussed at least until the construction is complete at Casa Valeria.

It's also my favorite of the 3 restaurants although the other 2 are very good and have their own strengths.

That said there are other comparable or better hotels and definitely more interesting restaurants in Sosua.

When you can think of yesterday without regret and tomorrow without fear, you are near contentment.
Your opinions are not my problem...

Siochana, Thanks. That was an excellent summary. Do you agree with TNT that Casa Valeria is not really monger friendly, if not actively hostile?

At Sosua Sunrise, the room price included breakfast and dinner. Is that the case at either New Garden or Valeria?

And I had called Winifred at Sunrise directly to make reservations last August to get the best pricing. I would assume I should do the same with the other 2, correct?

I like your insights. My crew are all in their early 60's. We enjoy walking around and we're looking to be relatively close to the strip. We do not do motos, hence our interest in looking at NG and CV. In your opinion, what hotels are better choices and why, if you don't mind.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Re: 12/2016 - Sousa In Jan 2017

Bronx ,,,I have not stayed at Casa Valleria for awhile,,,,

But from my experiences,,,,I would have to disagree with with TNT on Casa Valeria,,,,

But I would Agree with him on Terra Linda,,,,,,,

At casa valeria,,,I've seen Office Manager parade 4 or 5 chicas a day through there without any problem whatsoever,,,,

The only thing I can confirm (from my previous stays) is that I believe they frown upon is bringing in 2 girls at the same time ,,,,

Now Terra Linda I really like,,,,,,,,BUT,,,

Like TNT said,,,they are sometimes all over the place with thier prices,,,,,

The final straw with me and that place was when I had a flight canceled and had to return to sosua for 2 more nights,,,,,

I walked in and asked if they had any availability ,,,and the kid working(who i knew) said yes,,we have plenty of rooms,,,,,

I said Can i get the rate i usually get of $60,,,,,,

He said No ,,,it is $80,00,,,,,,

We went back and forth until he basically told me that the owner was trying to get away from "my type" of guest,,,,,,

    That was it for me,,,,,,,,

I walked next door to casa valleria but they were full,,,,,,,

But the guy working there at the time said to wait a moment,,,,,,

he called wilfreds place,,,,confirmed there was a room available ,,,,,and then even helped me carry my bags down the street,,,!!!

Ive never stayed at New Garden,,,so i cant help you with an opinion,,,,,,

But like siochana says,,,there are alot of good options,,,,,,,
" Expect The Best, Be Prepared For The Worst, Fuck What Others Think, And Do Your Own Thing,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

X3, SIO, TNT. I want to thank you all for your input
We are definitely not gonna be running 4-5 at a time thru there. But a Happy hour or 2 is definitely on the bucket list. We are all low key guys, private and respectful. We just happen to like fucking a bunch of beautiful women at any hour of the day or night.

Food is important as is ambience. Don't need a great view. I did not travel all this way yo look out the fucking window!

Comfy bed, good safe, nice room, good tv w/ xxx channels, AC and WiFi. That's all I need.

Sosua Sunrise had 3 xxx channels. What about NG and Valeria?

Delancer (the local cable company) offers three xxx channels in their upgraded package. My guess is Casa Valeria would most likely have it do to the other channels that come with that package. New Garden......probably a lock on having it considering the crowd they cater to.

Have a a good trip wherever you may end up.

All of the Fellas, thanks for the feedback. It is looking like we need to try the New Garden experience. I will call to find out pricing and if breakfast and dinner are included.. Though Sosua Sunrise is still in it!

Even though we did eat lunch out everyday in August, we definitely hopped on free breakfast and dinner at Sosua Sunrise with Wilifred. Food was excellent, just took a a fuck of a long time to come out of the kitchen! Those meal savings definitely added up. Fed some chicas dinner too, if they were acting right. And there was no complaint from the staff about it either.

I certainly would recommend Sunrise. But as y'all know NG is a shorter walk at 2:00 AM.

I always book these places by email and bring a copy of the email with me
All to often they get confused on the pricing until you pull out the email that shows what was agreed to and than it all seems to work out after that.
