Not sure who the money people are exactly
There is another guy Peter who I assume many know that is involved and he is there everyday and looks to be coordinating and directing much of the construction work being done
He seems like a pretty nice guy.

There are other "silent partners" as well


It kinda sounds like there might be some push back happening with the funding which may delay the opening even longer.

We all know that pretty much nothing goes as intended in the DR so the place not opening on time is no surprise.

There is a lot to be accomplished as they had not even started the kitchen area as of the end of April

They keep saying they want to be 100% before opening but my guess is that the pressure to get the place open and start generating revenue will ultimately trump that idea.


They could have the inside ready to be opened without to much more delay once the tables, chairs and booze have been delivered but the outside area is far from being ready and will need the kitchen completed.

Perhaps I am overthinking the whole kitchen idea since they likely can get that setup on Dominican standards on a rather thin budget but I think they have much more grandiose ideas in mind

I would like to see it open since the whole downtown area has become boring and they need something new to re-energize the place

Yes there are but part of the appeal of places like Sosua and Boca is that even though it is a fishbowl for us it is also a fishbowl for them to and makes for very easy pickens for them.

Not to many other places they can go and score the easy payday like they can in Sosua and Boca

Have you been in Sosua now for an extended stay? Sounds like you have been down there awhile...You dirty dog....Havent heard any MI SA stories....

I was in Sosua for 10 days the end of April.

I let my SA subscription lapse for the month of April because i was to busy and new I would be in the DR but getting ready to fire it back up again.
Gotta have something to do in between trips
