Currently settled my plans to go to Pa Tong beach in Phuket. It will take me 13.5h for inbound and 15.5h for outbound on both occasions will be having a stop in Bangkok. It would be easier to go to Bangkok, but it's beaches are not even close to beautiful Pa Tong. Just looking for some guest friendly hotels. Current holiday price for 14 days is 1050£, which I expect to rise to 1,100-1,200 by the time I book it, which I might correct by choosing different hotel.

I haven't encountered a hotel in Patong that wasn't guest-friendly. You might do better by seeing how close the hotel is to Bangla Road, and how close you want to get depends on your tolerance for noise -- especially loud pounding bass-and-drums.

Bangla Road is ground-zero for the night-club and girly-bar action in Patong. It is closed to vehicles in the evening, and it is crowded not only with competing music (turned up to 11, with that bass-and-drums approaching the Richter scale), but with bar-hoppers, mongers, and lots and lots of tourists out to see the craziness. It runs from the beach up to what we could call Second Street, formally known as Rat-U-Thit Pee Road; turn right from Bangla, walk a hundred meters or so, and you're in front of the mammoth "Central" department store and its excellent food-court, and across from the truly-titanic Jungceylon shopping-mall. (I've gotten lost a few times in Jungceylon Mall, but there are lots of good opportunities for eating and for shopping.) Further south on Rat-U-Thit Pee Road, you'll reach the Hard Rock Cafe on the right and Otop Market on the left; behind Otop Market and its food-stalls, there are a large number of thatched-roof, open-air bars -- "Aussie bars," with an atmosphere that's far different from Bangla Road.

Halfway between Bangla Road and Otop is "Christin Massage," which is a soapie-massage place. I really like soapies, but they're expensive ... 3000 baht and up, more of course for a prettier girl. You start with a bubble-bath in a tub for two, then you lie on an air-mattress in the tiled wet-area beside the tub, while the girl slathers you with soapsuds and then slips and slides all over your body, cheek-to-cheek from head to toe. Then you rinse and dry off, and the action moves to the bed in the dry-area. The whole process takes about an hour and a half, and for a monger, it is the essence of "good clean (sex-play) fun." I recommend you try this at least once, whether at Christin in Patong, Honey Spa (and others) in Pattaya, and I know there are soapies in the Nana Plaza - Soi Cowboy area of Bangkok, around Sukhumvit Road.

I think you're going to have a blast!
    I'm still "Just A Lurker."
