05/2019 - Security Line - Newark Terminal C

Hey CNJ or Tarzan...

Are the security lines at Newark Terminal C...United as CRAZY as my last trip...

Oh my god...the lines were unbelievable....I had to cut through the line to get to Kiosk....that security line was forever on level 1.

I asked the united girl where was precheck...that was level 2...took elevator up and that was a zoo...Had to walk way back of line but cut in before the end..I thought I was going to get yelled at.

It actually moved fairly quick.

Is that normal or just crazy day??? May 17 Friday???

Yeah, it's normal. They used to have 3 different entrance points now they just have 1, so it's nuts depending on time of day. It does move fairly quick, but it's not the place that you want to be running late for a flight. On another note tho, Terminal 2 is a breeze, if you have to get the Cathay Pacific flight to HKG at night, there's nobody there.

Interesting. Have been there a few times and never had a problem with pre-check. 10 mins or less. I usually time it so that I can get to the boarding area when it just starts.
Last time was travelling domestically and did the routine 3 times when I went out for smoke breaks.
Avoid Monday mornings and Thur evenings. Worst time at EWR.

Newark was the reason I decided to get Global Entry


At the time probably the most miserable airport to go through immigration by far


I applied for global entry the next day


Still wont fly through there unless I absolutely have to dont need the aggravation

just landed in Tokyo after going through there, the united POP up lounge by my gate was embarassing.

lol..I was in that one couple weeks ago...yeah lame....

Are you allowed in the Polaris lounge? I dont think I can get in that one with my free CC pass.

You have to be in business class or global service to go there. Neem twice, nice lounges

Breezed right through United Newark this morning 8am...no zoo...I thought it would be crazy 4th of July...

Definitely hit and miss on zooness United Newark..

Came in from Frankfurt around 2pm and it was a zoo. Went through Global entry and wasnt too bad.
