Lorenzo is remodeling the El Paraiso. It will have 18 rooms, 12 with king beds. The hotel will have a new name and work should be done within two months. The rates should be similar to the new wing at NG.

You could use that wild new invention called THE INTERNET. If you use the keyboard, you can find almost ANYTHING you could need to answer questions.

It's real nice. The rooms are very modern. I stayed a couple nights and was happy. No problems.

I gotta say... their Breakfasts are like some of the best in Sosua.. The portions are large and the fruit plates are really nice, and not pricey at all..

. some other places the quality has dropped , or they have a gimmick cheap breakfasts that leave u un satisfied and still hungry
and some even charge DOUBLE price the price for a decent breakfast..

but the NG breakfast has been a winner & very consistent for a long time..

I really look forward to their breakfasts , and all the coffee u can drink too.

Thumbs Up Re: 10/2007 - New Garden/What's the deal

Not sure if there is still an ISOC rate, but I doubt it.

The place has changed. Gone are the days of noisy, wild, poolside parties and a mostly monger cliental.

I've eaten there many times in the last year. Both breakfast and dinner and the food is fantastic! I'm not sure of the makeup of the guests currently but going by what I have seen at the restaurant and coming and going through the entrance to the rooms it appears to be very few mongers (20%???) and many more "families" and couples. Mostly Italian as is the owner.

At dinner it is normal to see the majority of the of the tables taken by larger groups, with many children, a few tables with European/Italian men and a local a chica, many of which seem to be in a relationship as we often see the same couples, and then a few other mongers (an assumption) with known or obvious hookers and occasionally a table or 2 of guys discussing the chica action. Breakfast seems to have more guys and fewer children but nothing like in the old days with chicas all over the place.

The people staying there may be different that what I've observed but in the public areas things are a lot more reserved and apparently family oriented than in the past.
When you can think of yesterday without regret and tomorrow without fear, you are near contentment.
Your opinions are not my problem...

Slowly but surely we are being deprived of our natural habitat....I think I'm becoming an environmentalist.

Well, at least there's still Plaso's place, Casa Cayena.

But I do feel a twinge of nostalgia for the New Garden, that's where I had my not-so-happy hour with the Santiago Sisters ...

I didn't consider it a "mistake," just a "learning experience."

They are sitting outside. Not as many as last July.

    I like the breakfasts.
