buying a camera in Sosua

I'm in the middle of nowhere and due to arrive in Sosua in a week. I can't buy a camera where I am, and wouldn't be able to until I arrive in the DR. Does anyone know where I could buy a decent video camera? How would prices compare to the US? (I'm not looking for anything too fancy.)

You would have to go to Santiago to get one. If they had any in Sosua it would be alot of money. They sell the throw away cameras in all the towns if that will help?
