Hi all,
just wantedt to introduce myself. I am a 40 Year old white guy traveling to DR (Sosua) in three weks for the first time. I am hopin to have alot of fun.

Hopefully you ponyed up the couple of bucks that JimmyDR needs to help pay for bandwidth because all the good stuff is in the Picture section.

Hotels like BlackBeards? ? ? No and I'm glad . . . I used to love them but they have too many rules and are just WAY to expensive . . . the most popular ISOC hotel is currently New Garden but we change hotels as often as most people change their sheets . . .

Sosua's a great town for Knuckleheads and I can't wait to get back . . .

Welcome to the site, Whoami. You will have a great time. Read up as much as you have time for here and don't be shy about asking if you need to know anything. Don't waste time asking which are the best chicas. We all have different tastes and experiences and the chicas change all the time.

Safe places to start are Passions and Hermann's bar on the beach (Siempre Sol). Increasingly difficult places to start are the main meat markets (Merengue Bar and Clasico Disco above it) and Sosua Life (Latino Disco behind it). This is where you would be wise to hook up with some experienced ISOC guys early in your trip. To find them, post here from Rocky's Bar or look in New Garden and The New York Shark Bar and make yourself known (also at Passions and Siempre Sol).

You don't have to hang with them all the time. Some of us like to hunt alone. But hanging with ISOC for the first part of your trip might save you some grief and pesos.

Have a great time and make sure you post a report and lots of dirty pictures.
