If you guys meet me you'll see, I'm seriously disabled. I can't even sit in a regular chair so unfortunately that's not an option.
I had been told D'Latins had a ramp. Shit!
I will have a portable ramp with me, but that's only good for about 3 steps max.
I bought trip insurance that covers 80% if I cancel for any reason. Strongly considering cancelling my trip now. Argh!
I don't think you need a ramp to enter Del Toro and I think Rumba is only 2 or 3 steps. I know a couple of security guys at D'Latin, perhpas they can lift your chair up (depending on how heavy it is of course.) If all else fails I might know some no drama Haitian chicas that will make house calls. Never hurts to ask.
Another issue might be sidewalks. I will try to pay attention tomorrow and see how "friendly" they are as well. Where are you staying?
Enjoy it while you can.
I arrive about 10 days after you leave, but am staying until february 2014 so anyone wanting to meet for some beers let me know. Since I am staying almost 6 months does anyone know if there is a requirement for visa or other documentation other than my passport for US citizens staying that long? Dont want to run into any hassles from Dominican authorities or AA personnel at the airport before boarding. I wrote to the Dominican Embassy in DC with questions and no answer. It has been a couple of weeks already since I sent the email. I also asked what foods are prohibited and which ones are limited to a certain quantity since I wanted to bring some American food items with me. Anyone have such a list??? I wont bother taking any food items that the dominicans would confiscate.
I'm on the same flight I also hope things work out, you never know Passions may be open after all, its a fluid
situation to say the least and plus, you can't do better than to meet some of the helpful vets here before the
trip so you may decide to go either way. Hope to see you in Sosua!

Are you going to be travelling with a wing? I would think that would make or break your decision. A good wing will make sure you have a great time, in spite of whatever accessibility you may have.
Personally, even if you don't, once guys see you're good peeps, you'll be well taken care of. A lot of it will depend on your attitude and your outlook on life in general.
If you think it's love try not paying in the morning..

My younger brother (21) is coming to assist me. He's too fresh & green to call a wing, though. I can't wait to see his reaction!
Should be good times, then!Personally, even if you don't, once guys see you're good peeps, you'll be well taken care of. A lot of it will depend on your attitude and your outlook on life in general.
Thanks.
Just a quick update:
My brother & I are going to Blackbeard's for the 12th & 13th, then checking into Mary Rose on the 14th. We still leave the 19th as originally planned.
Looking forward to meeting you all! Not long, now.

You'll be in good hands, Hypno. With a bunch of us in town, I'm sure any questions or concerns you might have once you're there can be answered by any number of guys.
I was thinking, because of your physical situation, those chicas very well may regard you as a bit of a challenge. One that they might be up for to see how well they can do to please you. We always read about guys who tell their chica they can't go any longer and the chica will hear nothing of it. Then they get to work, using all the mastery they possess in the "womanly arts" to get that last leche.
Yes sir, Hypno, you just might be in for a wild ride very soon. Something you can retell to a curious audience at Rockys the next morning!
Just make sure, before you leave your room to go out at night, lock up any and all of your valuables. Having your bro around will be beneficial. But trust me, you'll have a bunch of bros looking out for you.
Have a great time.
I arrive tomorrow. This is going to be a long 24 hour wait before this flight.
Yeah, security is high on my mind. Thanks for the reminder. I won't be stupid.Just make sure, before you leave your room to go out at night, lock up any and all of your valuables. Having your bro around will be beneficial. But trust me, you'll have a bunch of bros looking out for you.

Have met a few of you guys already. So far GREAT trip.
Im coming back again...... This time with two wings. They are serious because they both have purchased tickets. Both newbies to everything.
I arrive for an eight night trip this upcoming Monday, August 12. Look forward to seeing some of you next week. Anyone else want to meet up, just let me know.
