Well to tell you the truth I don t care who says they owns it !!!!!!!! As long as you spend pesos there.
Roger Mav and I were partners until mid 2004. Then Mav wanted to move on to different ventures and Roger and I became partners.
As far as the ugly girls... well it all in the eye of the monger. All have different taste and although I wouldn t do one of the bartenders there (nada para jefe) I will say running something in the DR is weird. WWe had knockouts working there... but were the mst unreliable pieces of shit who would steal or just go off to make a couople of pesos to give their chulos. The girls we have now are honest and we don t have to be there 24 7 !!
The Lost Gringo is closed.
Sad but True.....
Our lease came due and in typical Dominican fashion the landlord tried to play games. When we rentend in May 2004 (peso was 45 to 1) he based his rent on dollars when the new lease came in May 2005 (28 to 1) he based his rate on pesos using the equivalence of the 45 to 1 rate !
Beside that he wanted the full year up front... when questioned what would happen if the bar was torn down he said he would refund the money... yeah right!
Actually it is kind of nice jsut being a tourist!
Hey... Roger is still down there at Caribbean Communications... if you need a phone or accessories stop by and see him
Sorry to hear that, TB. Definitely the end of an era. See ya later this summer!
Did you at least grab the sign and some fixtures? Never know where they could come in handy.... the patio at the Palace penthouse could use a bar!
