I stayed at Rio AI for a short time a year ago last summer and went there. I also stayed at a friends for the first night on a couple trips last winter and both times we went to Ocean World and ate and partied inside and on a boat in there marina which is very nice.

You will like it, very well done by Sosua standards it is a worlds apart. Check it out they have a website and are really friendly to gringos or should I say Gringos Pesos.

Saturday night Halloween in Sosua was pathetic.

Passions had orange and black balloons and girls in black lacy uniforms. Seacrets had balloons. Jolly Rogers had a costume party and looked packed for the 1st time in it's existence. Merengue/Classico's at least made a bit of effort.

The town was busy but probably only about 20/30 people in town in costume/masks.

For the rest it was business as normal.

Props to the guy that won the RD$10K 1st prize at Classico's.

And even bigger props to Yayow who recognised me despite my hideous monster mask. Still can't figure out how you did that Stu!!!

And in comparison Cabarete was off the charts.
