07/2020 - Current situation in Sosua - with Covid

Same same as far as everything closed after 9pm...Nothing opened for the after curfew night spots. Coco Hotel was also dead with 2 bigger Haitains...thats it at Coco.

The scene is pretty busy 6pm-9pm around Kings/Rumbas area. Lot of chicas milling around. Kings is HuGE now and some higher tier chicas post up in there at their own tables. You can grab beers at places to go in cup and then walk around pedro. Thats what i did.

Noticed a new posse of Santiago chicas and grabbed number of spinner. She showed up later. She was pretty good reminding me of Angeles City in more ways than one

As long as the curfew is reasonable I would still come and not cancel. You can get around the prohibition. And get more sleep

Finally got into Ahvee last night before 9pm. 500 pesos...alcohol served. About 30% full. One Haitain killer body solid 9.. usual dressed up spandex girls. Most of the weekend warriors were just hanging in groups watching clippers. Just stayed for a couple beers...out of bullets. At airport now. Will write some more when I get back rafa...

Word is they lifted the alcohol ban yesterday. Probably explains why Ahnvee was accepting outside guests last night.

Got home....Since this is covid thread....watch out for you guys who fake the covid test....

Usually you show the test at the airport you are leaving. They glance at it on check in thats it.

In Newark today after going through global entry they direct you to 3 booths....

I walk up to booth and mean looking china man with big thick glasses takes a look at my test and passport. Good to go..lol...

Guess they are stepping up looking at certain countries and DR might be on list.....

Dont lose that test sheet as you might need it in USA also.....

As of now you still need a covid test for re entry into the USA. It doesn't matter if you have had the vaccine or not.

True the vaccination won't prevent you from getting Covid but it does seem to lessen the effects for some.

Given the history of how Covid kept coming back with a vengeance each time it seems clear that the vaccines have definitely made a difference

Where I live once the people started getting vaccinated the new positive cases began to drop off dramatically.

In fact the cases in Michigan have dropped so much they are lifting all of the Covid restrictions on June 22 which is quicker than anticipated.

Getting back to a more normal pre Covid lifestyle is a nice thing.

You can still catch covid after vaccination, it does not provide a magic shield.

The symptoms will be lesser since the symptoms are due to your body trying to find the right defense (antibodies), the vaccine generates them for you before infection occurs so the symptoms are greatly reduced.

Virus transmission drops off as vaccination rates increase because although you can still be infected, you cannot be infective to others. You are a dead end host of transmission instead of another link in a chain.
