Sosua is pretty much Sosua. There are no days off, except for some mainstream businesses.
Everything is open 7 days a week. The beach gets lots of locals on weekends.
If you think it's love try not paying in the morning..
"Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many."
It's easier to tell you what's closed...
Banks are closed
Western Union is closed
Real Estate offices are closed
As MrHappy said, Sunday is a great Beach Day..Dominican families bus in from all over to come to Playa Sosua
The Pedro Clisante strip is open for business like any other night
GOTO THE BEACH! Sundays are the best day for beach fun. Theres buses full of chicas brought to the beach that aren't there the rest of the week to meet up with. Sure a lot of them are with families and friends but you can be friend and buy a drink and chat with a few quite easily if you can speak even some Spanish.
Don't think of Sundays as any different except things open later in the day and you get a larger selection of chicas to choose from that are bussed in for you!
Jimmy owes me a dollar!
Beads... You are a wealth of knowledge. Thx!

Pussy Parade....
Take a seat at Siempre Sol and enjoy the "scenery"
Herman's infamous "Pussy Parade"?
I've been to the beach there more Sundays than I can count and have to say that there really has not been much of a parade in years. I can't blame Herman for using it as a marketing tool but the fact is that there's not any exceptional traffic on the upper beach, Sunday or otherwise, most days. The level of eye candy parading around seems to be a bit lower every trip.
There is a lot more action nearer the water. If you really want to have fun arrive at the beach on Sunday early enough to secure a couple of chairs and umbrellas, near the surf, between Siempre Sol and Mofongo King and get right in the middle of the action. Pick a spot further back for a better overview and even under the trees for more shade and coolness
I think the "pussy parade" is more a figure of speech. It simple means that the Beach (overall) is packed with toto, which i think it is.
I've always pulled my best "out of town" and local "semi" toto on Playa Sundays!
So with that said, you must walk around a bit and also jump in the surf for the action.........
i agree its more like a friend saying " hey come over to my back yard on sunday and enjoy the pool , going to be losts of chicas there,,,, i never took the pussy parade as a literal meaning,=== sunday is when the Dominican people like to take the day and enjoy it at the beach, hence you will see lots of toto at the beach
I agree, Siempre Sol is not a good place to experience the true atmosphere of the beach on Sundays. Most of the buses park at the middle entrance to the beach which comes down by Mofongo King and the people tend to congregate under the trees in that general area. Remember Dominicans do not like the sun so all the beach chairs are pulled up under the tress in the wider part of the beach. Sundays are my favourite day on the beach.
